AT LUNCH TIME
Restaurant Novotel Confluence
Arriving at the Novotel Café, we go from discovery to discovery. The first is undoubtedly the view of the Saone and quiet in a neighborhood undergoing a revival, however, and finally its cuisine, both simple and tasty. The place is also ideal on summer evenings for a drink and enjoy the freshness of the place.
3 rue Paul-Montrochet, Lyon 2nd. April 37 23 64 00. Plancha: 12 to 20 €. Express lunch menu: 14 €. www.novotel.com
Bistrot gourmand now noted in the famous Gault Millau, the place does not lack of imagination. His inventive cuisine made from vegetable maki, sashimi of sea bream or beef chuck gives the meal a deliberately friendly tone. To discover with friends, family or colleagues for a moment off around a craft beer, all on a south facing terrace overlooking the slopes of Saint Just.
27 Quai Saint-Vincent, Lyon 1. Phone: 04 78 30 86 73. Menu: 19 euros for lunch. www.escarcelle.fr
This once industrial wasteland gave way to an amazing conversion. This restaurant has taken up residence in an old salt warehouse, where lunch on the terrace at the water’s edge gives the kitchen its pedigree, mixing flavors of North and South.
43 Quai Rambaud, Lyon 2e. Phone: 04 78 92 87 87. Menu: 19 to 29 € www.selcius.fr
If the place is historic and touristic, the concept of both baroque and modern gives way to a bistronomic cuisine with a unique twist, that of the southern flavors. A magical site, close to the Basilica of Fourvière and the Roman Amphitheater.
1 rue de Antiquaille, Lyon 5th. Phone: 04 74 26 95 73. Menu: around € 40. www.lebasilik.com
Only one address, three ways to dinner, all with a breathtaking view of the city. The gourmet restaurant and starry Têtedoie, the wine bar Phosphorus, or formula Antiquaille plancha to the terraces are to discover or rediscover the seasons (the last one only has a terrace … wait sunny days from May to September!). The kitchen of Christian Têtedoie owes much to precious woven ties with its “accomplices” cheese, baker, butcher.
Montée du Chemin Neuf, Lyon 5th. 04 78 29 40 10. 45 € for lunch. www.tetedoie.com
In this beautiful house in bourgeois paces, we just enjoy authentic cuisine with bistro dishes and Lyon specialties. Clinging to the slopes of Croix Rousse, the view of Lyon is remarkable. And when the weather is fine, enjoy the fantastic view to the Alps. Provencal cuisine and market are proposed every week with a summer menu, and affordable. 2 steps away from the Opera.
25 Montée Saint-Sebastien, Lyon 1. April 72 98 21 21. Menu: 27 €. www.maison-villemanzy.com
